Shipper Quotes Season 4

Gypsy Eyes

Mac comes up to Harm dressed as a Gypsy.
         Mac: "Tell your fortune, sailor?"

Mac: "You're being driven by emotions
and those emotions are going to
               get us killed."
Harm: "You can quit, I can't, my father
is out there somewhere and I'm
               going to find him."
         Mac: "Or die trying."
Harm: "Or die trying, but you shouldn't.
               You've come with me farther
than anyone I know, I'll never
               forget that, Mac."

Embassy

Harm: "You know, we should go out more
               often."
Mac: "Sure, I had a wonderful time
               tonight."

The Martin Baker Fan Club

Mac: "Don't do it. You just concluded
18 years of searching for your
               father. Don't let Roscoe Martin
draw you back into the jungle."
Harm: "It's a matter of principle, Mac,
I owe it to the men of that war."
Mac: "No, Harm, it's deeper than that.
               You are replacing one obsession
               with another."
Harm: "You are overreacting, Major. This
is me trying to turn a negative
into a positive. I'm just trying
to prevent one more man from
paying for Viet Nam with his
               life."
Mac: "What about your life? A
               relationship, a child, your future
after the Navy, or is that just
               not as important?"
Harm: "Those things are important to me,
this is just one case, Mac,
               it's hardly an obsession."
Mac: "You can walk away any time?"
         Harm: "Any time!"
         Mac: "How about now?"

(Mac shows up at his place with the
               information he needed)
Harm: "Come on in, I'll make it worth
               your while."

Angels 30

Mac: "Well, unless they've developed a
new technology that can beam a
               transmission right into someone's
               brain..."
Harm: "I'll beam something into your
               brain, you're starting to sound
               like Bud!"

Harm and Mac are going to question two
         pilots.
Harm: "Which one do you want?"
Mac: "I'll take the cute, single
               one....I'm kidding."

Mac: "God told him not to fire?"
Harm: "That's what Cmdr Rice said."
         Mac: "Did he say why?"
         Harm: "The Commander?"
         Mac: "God"
         Harm: "I don't know, Mac, he's not
               talking to me."
Mac: "No, he's given up on you."

Mac: "Harm, make sure you're home
before the street lights are on."
Harm: "I'll do my best, Mom."

Act of Terror

Mac: "She's good. I'll give her that.
Harm: "Yeah, she is good, Mac. You're
               better than she is."
         Mac: "Was that a compliment?"
Harm: "However you want to take it."

Mr. Rabb goes to Washington

Bobbie: “I never understood why you
                never got together.”
Harm: “Mac? We'd fight all the time.”
Bobbie: “So do you and I.”
         Harm: “Oh that’s different.”
         Bobbie: “Really?”
         Harm: “Yeah.”
         Bobbie: “How?”
Harm: “Well, for starters we don’t
                work together.”

"People vs. Mac"

Harm: "What? No bad jokes about my
                case? Something must really be
                bothering you."
         Mac: "Me? No, I'm fine."
Harm: "You can talk to me about it,
                Mac."
Mac: "I tried talking to you. As I
recall, you were in Congress with
                a Congresswoman. How is Bobbi
                Latham, by the way?"
         Harm: "She's fine. I'm sorry I wasn't
free when you needed me, but I'm
                here now. What's going on?"

Mac: "Thanks... for believing in me."
Harm: "I've got to admit, you had me
               going for a little while."
Mac: "Yeah, but you stayed with me."

Harm: "Mac, the guy just tried to pin a
murder on you. You're going to
               have dinner with him?"
Mac: "Yeah. To give him a chance to
               apologize."
         Harm: "The men you pick."

Black Jet

Harm: "All right ladies, let's go.
I've got a bird to fly."
Mac: "Is he always this cocky?"
         Keeter: "Only around women."
         Harm: "Take care, Marine."
         Mac: "You too, Sailor."

Jagggle Bells

Mac to Harm: "I always thought you were
a Scrooge this time of year”

         Harm: “Are you okay?”
Mac: “I don’t know. Things have been
               pretty messed up lately and
               with my Article 32 hearing
coming up it's only going to get
               worse in the new year.”
Harm: “You’re going to make it. You
are a lean, mean, fighting Marine,
and you have me backing you up
               what could be better?”

Cloe: “Commander Rabb, Mac’s told me
all about you, in fact you’re all
               she talks about.”
         Harm: “Really?”
         Cloe: “Yeah, although sometimes it's
hard to tell what parts are true
and what parts are just, well
               you know, her fantasies."

Webb of Lies

Mac: “Don't get inside Palmer’s head
Harm. It's not a place you want to
               be.”
Harm: “I'm not afraid of Palmer.”
Mac: “Well, I am, for you.”

Harm to Mac: “Goodnight, Ninja Girl.”

Mac: “Do you mind if I strip it down?”
         Harm: “What did you say?”
         Mac: “Your pistol”

Mac (comments about Parker) “It seems
like she takes good care of you.”
         Harm: “You both do.”

Mac: “Why didn’t he wait for me?”
Bud: “Because he cares about you very
much, that’s why he went alone."

"Silent Service"

Harm: "Well Sir, I don’t think we need
to be overly concerned about it.
The Major and I are together a
lot and there’s bound to be a few
bumps in the road every once in
               a while."

Harm: "I fell I should let you know,
the entire time we were down
               there, Lt. Austin suffered of
               claustrophobia."
Mac: "I am not Lt. Austin."
         Harm: "We’ll see."

Harm: "Leave the lingerie at home this
               time."

Mac: "If you’re wrong we’re going to be
the most unpopular guests at the
               party."
Harm: "Well as long as we dance
               together."
         Mac: "Yeah and you lead."
Harm: "You know I’m beginning to think
that this is more than a bump in
               the road. You obviously resent
               me."
Mac: "And you have no faith in me."
Harm: "How did we get to this point
               anyway?"
Mac: "I guess we were due. We’ve been
on a honeymoon as of late."
Harm: "Are you saying this was
               inevitable?"
Mac: "I don’t know. But I think we
should talk. There may be deeper
               issues."
Harm: "I’m not going there with you.
This is not a marriage. Ok?"

Captain: "Well... you two are quite a
team. Do you always work this
               well together?"
Mac: "When he lets me do the talking."

"Nobody's Child"

Mac: "We've worked together for 3
               years, travelled together, slept
               together in the same room."

"Shakedown"

Harm: "Are you going to be ok?"
Mac: "I won't be playing the piano any
               time soon."
Harm: "Well, I've heard you play, Mac,
               it's probably for the best."

Mac: "I see it in your eyes, Harm.
               Whenever you're around pilots and
jets. It seems like you're the
               happiest when you're flying."
         Harm: "Maybe I am."
Mac: "More than being a lawyer?"
Harm: "I know why you don't want me to
fly. you're afraid of losing me."
Mac: "Maybe... or maybe I'm just afraid
               you'll lose yourself."

Mac: "Nothing personal, but that last
               meatloaf you made was nasty."
         Harm: "You're dogging Harm's special
               meatless meatloaf?"
Mac: "Let's put it this way. If you
were to make Harm's special in
this ship, they would have to
unload it with the toxic waste."
         Harm: "Wow, that's a little harsh, don't
you think? If you didn't like
it, you could have said 'I don't
               like your meatloaf, Harm'. You
               don't have to be insulting."

Mac: "Are you sure you're ok?"
Harm: "Well, I'm alright. The toxic
waste didn't give me that X-ray
               vision or that super human
strength I'd hoped for, if that's
               what you mean, anyway."

CO: "How in the hell did you figure
                that out?"
         Harm: "Meatloaf, Sir."
         CO: "Meatloaf?"
         Harm: "Harm's meatless meatloaf."

C.O: "Commander, Major, you make one
               hell of a team."
         H&M: "Thank you, Sir."
Mac: "I guess we do make a good team."
Harm: "When you listen to me."

         Mac: "Recovering a million dollars
should be worth a couple of hours
               in a Tomcat."
Harm: "You know, you're not so bad
               after all."

Adversaries

Carolyn: "So, Jordan, what's he like?"
Jordan: "Harm? He's a nice guy,
                  intelligent, funny, oh and a
                  good cook."
Carolyn: "No, what's he like, you
                  know?"
Jordan: "Oh, what would you say?"
                 (Looks at Mac)
Mac: "Don't look at me we never.."
                 (stammers)
Carolyn: "Come on! Don't give us that
                  all that time you've been
                  together Japan, Russia, the
                  desert."
Mac: "No it's the truth, you believe
                  me don't you Jordan?"
         Jordan: "Of course, dear!"

Mac: "I envy you, you've got this
                hot new romance."
Jordan: "Yeah, sometimes I think it will
                last forever and sometimes I
                think it will last until..."
         Mac: "Until what?"
Jordan: "Until you decide you want him."
Mac: "Jordan there isn't.... First of
all I've had enough of men for
                a while. For the foreseeable
                future I'm a nun. Second it's
not like that between me and
Harm. We're like, I'm not going
                to say brother and sister."
         Jordan: "Thank you."
Mac: "I'm not a threat to you Jordan,
                believe me."
         (Jordan's facial expression says "Yeah!
                Right!")

Second Sight

Mac: "Don't make this about your
father, Harm, it's not the same."
Harm: "This is something all together
                different Mac, why do we
think it is a good idea to bury
                things, to pretend that they
                don't matter?"

Harm: "Every time you put on that
                uniform he'll be there, every
tray of martinis that passes will
smell like him, every time a
                man tells you you're worth
                something you push him away."
                (looking directly into her eyes)

Wilderness Of Mirrors

Harm: "Mac, you got a minute?"
         Mac: "Sure, what is it?"
Harm: "I saw him again last night
                outside my apartment."
         Mac: "Your father? Harm..".
                  ( clip )
Mac: "Have you talked to Jordan about
                this?"
         Harm: "NO!"
Mac: "But you're talking to me,
                you're ignoring the person you
                have the most intimate
                relationship with, a
                psychiatrist, who is supposed to
be able to understand what you're
                going through."
Harm: "Seems that way, I guess."
         Mac: "Why?"
Harm: "For one thing she's working
with a patient right now who
                suffers from hallucinations. I
knew she go directly to that
                without considering other
                options. You have always humored
                my occasional metaphysical
                moments."
Mac: "Harm, I don't think either one
of us can be objective about your
father. Go to Jordan, you owe
it to her for all kinds of
reasons. And don't tell her you
                came to me first."
Harm: "Thanks Mac, you're a good
                friend."
Mac: "Yeah, that's me--the girl next
                door. Look, talk to Jordan,
give it time, think it through
and if you still can't let it go,
go with your gut, it hasn't
                failed you yet."

Soul Searching

Mac: "Yeah, I know how that goes.
That's why you haven't asked me
about last week isn't it. I
                never thanked you for the
                flowers, they were beautiful."
Harm: "I would have come to the
                funeral."
         Mac: "Yeah, I know that's why I didn't
call until Dad was buried. My
                mother was there."
Harm: "How was that?" (looks at her
                quite lovingly and concerned)
Mac: "It was a growing experience. If
you hadn't talked me into it,
                I never would have gone."
Harm: "Mac I didn't talk you into
                something you didn't want."
Mac: "All the same, thank you."

(Harm just stares at Mac as she looks
out the window unable to look him in
         the eye.)
Mac: "It's getting dark in here."
Harm: "Is it?" (he continues to just
                stare at her)
Harm: "Why don't you come with me and
help me pick out a new car with
                Bud and Harriet."
         Mac: "Isn't that something Jordie
                should be doing?"
Harm: "Mac, you pick out a new car with
                your girlfriend, you might as
                well buy her a ring."

Yeah baby

Harm comes to Mac's place to talk to her
about his "fight" with Jordan and his
desire to go back to flying.
Chloe: "Do you guys want to be left
                alone?"
         (they answer simultaneously)
         Mac: "No."
         Harm: "Yeah."
         Mac: "What's going on?"
Harm: "Jordan and I had a fight."
Mac: "Let me guess, she wants a
                commitment."
         Harm: "How'd you know that?"
Mac: "It's what every woman wants I
guess. So what, you're not ready
                to commit?"
Harm: "Well the rules of engagement
                have changed Mac."
         Mac: "What do you mean?"
Harm: "I had eye surgery. I got my
                night vision back."
         Mac: "When did this happen?"
Harm: "A couple of weeks ago."
Mac: "You had a major operation and
                you didn't tell me?"
Harm: "Triple bypass is a major
                operation, Mac, eye surgery is
                like getting your teeth cleaned."
Mac: "I tell you when I go to the
                dentist."
Harm: "I wasn't sure how it would work
                out frankly."
         Mac: "But it did?"
         Harm: "Like a dream."
(The song Dreams by the Cranberries is
                playing in the background)
Mac: "So what now? You thinking about
trying to return to a fighter
                squadron?"
Harm: "I spent my life preparing to be
                a Naval aviator, Mac."
Mac: "Except for three years in law
school and four years as a JAG."
Harm: "I submitted my request to
                Admiral Chegwidden today to
                return to active flight status."
         Mac: "You can't do that."
         Harm: "Why not?"
Mac: "Because it would mean that
flying is more important to you
than JAG, it's more important to
                you than Jordan, it's more
                important to you.......than
                everything."
Harm: "Wow, I thought you of all people
you would know how much flying
                means to me."
Mac: "I do, I do, Harm, but this
is the last thing that I need
                right now."
Harm: "You're starting to sound like
                Jordan now."
(Chloe comes out of the room, perhaps
                to end the fight)
Chloe: "Are you guys almost finished?"
         Mac: "Yeah, I guess so."
Harm: "Yeah, we'll talk about it
                latter."

As Mac shuts the door after he leaves
leans against the door and sighs.
Chloe: "I think I understand now why
you can't marry my dad. You're
                in love with Harm."
         Mac looks at her sadly.
Chloe: "Are you sad because Harm might
                leave JAG?"
         Mac: "Were you eavesdropping?"
         Chloe: "It's a small apartment."
         Mac: "I don't what I'm feeling."
Chloe: "Well, if it makes you feel any
                better, you should now that
Harm's in love with you too."
         Mac: "Harm has a girlfriend."
Chloe: "A woman can sense this kind of
                thing."
         Mac: "Oh, really?"
         Chloe: "Yes, really"
Then she starts reciting the children's
         song:
"Harm and Mac sitting in a tree
          K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

         Harm: "You ok?"
Mac: "Every time I think I've put
the pieces of my life back
                together somebody comes along
                and jumbles them back up.
                Everybody who has ever meant
anything to me is living my
                life."
Harm: "It'll be OK, Mac, you'll get to
                see Chloe again. One day
you'll have kids of your own."
Mac: "Not at this rate, my biological
clock is going off and I keep
                hitting the snooze button."
Harm: "Tell you what, five years from
this moment if neither one of is
                in a relationship, we'll go
                halves on a kid."
Mac: "You and me, have a baby
                together?"
Harm: "With your looks and my brains,
                he'll be perfect."
Mac: "What if SHE has your looks and
                my brains?"
         Harm: "That could work too."
         Mac: "Don't make a promise you can't
                keep."
         Harm: "I haven't yet."
         They shake hands.

Goodbyes

Mac: "I wonder what it would be like
to be as happy as Bud and
                Harriet."
         Harm: "They're working twelve hour
shifts, up all night with a baby,
they don't have time to be
                happy."
Mac: "You don't have to find time, you
just are. Don't you want that at
                all?"

Mac: "I'm interested in the future to
Harm, more and more I want a life
that is simple, and good, a
                great career a good man..."
Harm: "And shoes, lots and lots of
                comfortable shoes."

In Harm's office as he is getting ready
         to leave JAG.
Mac: "Did you think you'd sneak away
                without saying goodbye?"
Harm: "Why goodbye and not good luck?"
Mac: "Didn't I say that to you when I
was stupid enough to leave JAG?"
         Harm: "Yes, you did."
Mac: "You said you were happy for me."
Harm: "That's different you were in
                love."
         Mac: "And you're not?"
Harm: "What does love have to do with
                anything?"
Harm: "Hey" (wiping the tears from her
                face)
Mac: "Want me to water you plants for
                you?"
Harm: "I don't have any plants."
Mac: "I have so much I want to say to
you, I just can't find the
                words."
         Harm: "I know" (They hug)
Mac: "Damn you, why am I the only one
                crying?"
